Plutocracy versus Social Democracy

The fall of the Roman Empire and the Fall of America - are there similarities?

Is history repeating itself?

Will mankind ever learn from history, or continue to keep repeating the same old mistakes?

(I am afraid that the answers to these questions are not all viewed in a favorable light)

PLUTOCRACY:

The current U.S. Government (despite all the rhetoric), is currently a Plutocracy (A government by the wealthy). There is no doubt about that fact.

It is no longer a 'free' society. The common people are now nothing more than just drones.

"Drones" by definition: a. ( the male of a honey bee that has no sting and gathers no honey). b.(the workers). c. (to pass, proceed, or act in a dull, drowsy, or indifferent manner).

The expectation is to work for the wealthy, without any government representation, and have no power to intercede { with no way to intervene between parties - (the drones and wealthy) - with any view to reconciling differences.}

SOCIAL DEMOCRACY (NOT SOCIALISM):

  • A government as it was meant to be. As it was before the plutocratic take over.
  • A government by the people, for the people.
  • A government that represented only the people, and not the special interests.
  • A government with "elected" not ''bought'', officials that go to Washington to represent the people - all of us .
  • A government that ensures the safety of the citizens (army, navy, air force, marines, state police, local police, etc.) that keep the peace and enforce the laws.
  • A government that ensures equality for all citizens regardless of any 'individual' differences.
  • A government that collects 'reasonable taxes' from every citizen, and every business, and yes this does include those huge money hungry, multi-billion dollar annual profit entities. {And should include those free loading useless religious 'businesses' that currently have a free ride pass but that still manage to collect their 'tithes' - a small tax or levy, usually 10 % or so of all parishioners' annual wages.}
  • A government that regulates business corporations and does not allow for anything to become 'too big to fail'.
  • A government that provides socialized medicine - free health care for every 'American' citizen. {NOT free health care for 'illegal immigrants', and politicians}. In spite of the biased views of the insurance companies, and the wealthy profiteers, there are many countries, that have socialized medicine that works well for the people. We need to look at them seriously and take notes.
  • A government that does not bend over for lobbyists that have only their own interests at heart.
  • A government that promotes education at a reasonable cost. {Reasonable costs that can be easily reached and sustained by limiting Corporate net profits}. A "free society" should mean free for all citizens to have equal opportunities to succeed in life - to obtain that 'American Dream' we once had before the greed set in. It does not, or should not, mean freedom to exploit, or twist the laws, to accommodate and allow unfettered net profits to be unreasonably stolen from our societal economy by a few greedy individuals.
  • A government that is truly separate from religion. There should be NO religious slants or religious beliefs influencing the governmental process.

Undo external influences:

the likes of religious, quasi-political, and corporate influences.

Freedom of religion is a basic right - not a right to influence government workings to further their own biased agendas.

They do not pay taxes and have no right to representation in governments that are for ''all the people''. We need to be realistic, logical and keep religion out of politics.

Politicians salaries and benefits should be commensurate to the duties of their positions - not to their level of greed.

This country should be about freedoms, equality, education, progression into a future without wars, hatred, strife, and most of all without individual or corporate greed sapping all the energy, money, and life out of us all.

Those who want to remain in their staid and stagnant, non-progressive lives are certainly free and able to do so within the confines of their own lives and backward religious beliefs without trying to drag the rest of us down and backwards along with them.

Their personal beliefs do not belong in government business either.

Simple solutions - Powerful results

If mankind does not destroy itself in the interim, perhaps several generations from now, these concepts will come to fruition.

In some future time when people finally get tired enough of this current crap being forced at us today by the few, the mighty, the wealthy, the self serving and all the greedy inglorious bastards that control our lives so badly today.

(And PLEASE folks, the word bastard is NOT a swear word - it simply means 'motherless' so please try to contain your "moral" self righteously imposed urges to judge others. .

God Bless America!

She certainly needs it.
