100 % Natural Orange Juice: Made in Florida, USA

Under the Eye of God

100% FLORIDA ORANGE JUICE

There are very few things left untainted by greed and the lust for the almighty dollar in this country.

Back in the 60's, 70's and 80's it was amusing to hear people saying: "greed is good". Well, no-one is laughing any more. It has become an accepted way of life.

With the 'selling out' of the American people by governmental "regulating agencies"; big greedy businesses have managed to corrupt and taint just about all of our once healthy food supplies.

The most frightening, i find, is the 'selling out' of the 'food basics' suppliers to such countries as China, Taiwan, Mexico, Venezuela, Pakistan, Turkey (to name just a few) who have no safety regulations in place. 99.9% of our food is now imported with ingredients added such as mono-sodium glutamate (MSG), partially, or fully, hydrogenated oils, artificial sugars, sodium nitrate (just to name a few) that are all known be harmful to humans.

There is no regulatory system in place to protect the American consumer any more. The F.D.A. is owned by big business. The new "Reich" wing republicans are fighting to give unrestricted control to their big business friends to add anything they want to our food supply that will increase their net profits. We now have an apathetic society that takes everything for granted. A society that chooses not to know 'too much' about anything because it might mean having to give up a convenience that is deemed more important than their own health compromise.

I am an avid label reader, when shopping; due to a history of allergies to many foods. With the new government attitude (supported 110% by the new Reich wing republicans) the food manufactures do not have to label every ingredient, or the country of origin, any longer. This truly compromises the health of people with food allergies. But, i am assuming that since the new "Reich" wing republicans have little or no regard for any minority groups, it is OK to not protect those unfortunate, insignificant, few people with allergies. This is merely just a little collateral damage that is worth protecting their big financial benefactors for.

Something as simple as orange juice - one of the healthiest foods one can ingest - is also a victim of this evil greed now rampantly running, and ruining, our lives. Just about all of the major brands of orange juice producers are getting in on this greed wagon as well.

You must read your labels before buying anything.

Florida's Natural Orange Juice brand is the ONLY one on the market that is made with 100% oranges from Florida - no preservatives, additives or imported oranges!!

The other major brands are made from oranges from other countries and have additives (water, artificial sugar, corn syrup, other fruit juices, etc..) and costs more.

I am surprised that the new "Reich" wing republicans have not managed (yet) to pass a law that forces 'natural" products to add the junk that their benefactors are paying them to protect.

So, drink Florida's Natural brand orange juice - for your health, and for their support for not following suit with those 'other' republican supporters, while it is still available to enjoy.

Thanks for reading and your comments. I did re-read my article and you are perhaps correct that assuming that every reader will understand that the word Reich is in reference to the Nazi 3rd Reich regime, and not just a misspelling of the word Right, is a bit presumptious on my part. So i edited and added quotation marks around the word to make it more visibly interpretative. Thanks for the tip. I use this term frequently (obviously not in an endearing way) and now will have to go back to my ohter articles and quotate this word in those as well.

have you considered the irony of the orange industry?

How is it that our oranges can be shipped to south America for resale

and theirs can be shipped here for resale

and here we can buy theirs cheaper??

(consider the cost of fuel to ship them back and forth)

http://hubpages.com/profile/Yankee+Reb. Thank you for reading and your comments. There is little, if any, logic to this practice at all. But then, what government policy has EVER made any logical sense? Actually, as i stated above, in the case of O.J., i looked at all the other brands, their ingredients, and their prices and the Florida's own brand was considerably cheaper, healthier, and better tasting. Beats the hell out of me why anyone would buy any other brand.. We are conditioned to thinking that more expensive is always better. Only for the manufacturer - not the consumer.

another thing which gets me - is the Concentrate game

Why make it into concentrate just to add water before bottling?

Informative article. People need to know about this and start educating themselves about what they're really ingesting! Like you I read ALL the labels on food, tins, cartons, everything. So much so that it contributed to my decision to become vegetarian/vegan many years ago. Its scary to know that 'they' omit information from products regarding content.. which makes me question exactly what other stuff they're putting in!! Sad that something as basic as food is no longer real but all about 'business'.

I have to read all the labels as I have an intolerance to gluten. I find the easiest way round the problem of knowing what I'm eating is to avoid processed foods wherever possible.

1. The concentrate stuff always throws me for a loop too. I won't buy it. It is just plain stupid to take all the water out, and then have to add water when you use it.

2. I too, am basically a vegetarian, but eat fish on occasion. Unfortunately, even with a vegetarian diet, it is questionable. This government has OKed the farmers to genetically alter our vegetables. No one knows the ramifications of this action. They can pay their doctors and scientists to say it is harmless, but there is NO ONE on this earth that can guarantee that when you alter the genetic makeup of foods that it does not alter our own genetic make up. Perhaps not as noticeable in adults, but to the new born? i wonder.

3. I always have to allow myself extra time when i shop, i read every label. And use very few processed products, if any. The reason i re-read the labels on things that i ordinarily buy, is that they start off with a new product and omit things like partially, or fully hydrogenated oils, high fructose corn syrup, MSG, etc..on the initial labels, then add them later so you will not notice them. I really think it should be a crime for food manufacturers to trick people into buying something that we would not ordinarily buy because of the poisonous and harmful additives. There is NO ONE left to advocate for the public, we have to be our own watch dogs.

I absolutely do reade the labels of any food I eat. You can't be too careful. I'm happy to hear that orange juice is safe.

I appreciate your blog post and I agree that there's quite a bit of nonsense going on in the government, but I believe it's BOTH sides, not just the "right" wing. Please provide evidence that it is republicans directly responsible for importing oranges from other countries. I think for every article you find (which is highly opinionated) you will find enough regarding the left wing also. This is what frustrates me with society in this country. You pick sides and always point the finger to the other side. It's BOTH sides. Please stop defending politicians, they are corrupt on BOTH sides. Let's not forget Obama is running the administration right now and we have imported oranges from Brazil. How is that a republican problem? Why, if Obama wasn't irritated by it, wouldn't he stop it?

Again, I agree with Florida's Natural being the only US orange juice with US Oranges, but please leave your highly opinionated political opinions out of this.

Thanks for reading and commenting. I had to go back and re-read this article to see what got you so riled up. It gave me a little chuckle, but i can see that it certainly seems to be biased against the radical (reich) wing politicians. Perhaps because it was the great Mr. G.W. who signed legislature that allowed our food labels to not have to list the ingredients, and/or the country of origin, in a way that consumers can make a choice as to whether they want to buy them or not. Duping the American people was not in the best interest of the people who supposedly put him in office. (but his election results are also dubiously suspicious)

When we have a political party that is attacking the American people in favor of their benefactors it is a sad time for us when we (both of us)fight each other by blindly following their respective parties. But in this case, i am a registered republican and have liberal views when it comes to the protection of ALL people in this country.

So, my friend, my "highly opinionated political opinions" and NOT opinions at all. Just the facts, ma'am, just the facts. I will agree that both parties are equally as guilty when it comes to selling the American people out to big business, or big profits for themselves, but in this case it WAS the republican party responsible for this food thing.

P.S. there is nothing wrong with importing oranges, or anything else as long as there is no deceptions by the producers to fool us into believing those products are 100% natural, or products of the U.S.A.
